Startup PracticePro Announces Transition-to-Practice Training to Law Schools and Firms
at the NALP Conference

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – PracticePro, a new company aimed at bridging the gap between law school and law practice, announced its Summer Conferences, national training programs, and consulting services for new attorneys and law students at the annual education conference for the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) on April 9-11, 2014.  PracticePro met with hundreds of law schools and law firms from across the United States and is excited to welcome new partner schools and firms.

“PracticePro gets it right.  It speaks the language of new lawyers and the life that they will lead.  Only experienced young lawyers can really communicate these skills. No academic or senior lawyer can do it; PracticePro can,” said Bob Berring, Former Interim Dean and Professor at UC Berkeley School of Law.

The mission of PracticePro is to improve the legal profession by training lawyers and law students to be better prepared for the everyday tasks expected in the early years of practice.  PracticePro training programs prepare law students and new lawyers by explaining the real-world legal, managerial, and administrative tasks expected of new attorneys, and equipping them with the skills to excel. PracticePro also offers scholarships for law students, including Diversity Scholarships made possible by the generous sponsorship of partner firms like WilmerHale.

PracticePro Summer Conferences, offered across the U.S., will bring together law students interested in the Super Summer seminar and new attorneys interested in gaining tools for proactively managing their legal careers in the Career Management seminar.  The conferences also conclude with a reception sponsored by the partner firms participating in the PracticePro Diversity Scholarship Sponsors Program.

“It has been heartwarming to meet with intelligent individuals across the legal education pipeline who are truly passionate about improving the legal profession,” said Niki Khoshzamir, CEO.  “Working together we can improve training, increase diversity, and make transition to practice less painful for everyone involved.”
